PSAT scores have been released at most schools. This is a time when many start to make decisions about test preparation.

Compare your PSAT scores to the median SAT scores at the schools your are interested in.

Are you at or above their range?
If not, how many points do you need to improve?

If you start in the new year, you'll have 4 months to prepare for the May test.

That could be enough time to make a significant improvement. It is certainly enough time to make a serious move toward your ultimate goal - even if that requires taking the test again in the fall.
